Big games require big risks, and nobody knew that better than Jackie Robinson. In Game 1 of the 1955 World Series, the Dodgers legend and civil rights pioneer stole home on none other than Yogi Berra. Despite the Yankee catcher’s protests, the ump called Robinson safe, and the Dodgers went on to win the Series, cementing #42’s place in baseball legend forever.
Our Pay HOMAGE collection celebrates the legendary athletes, personalities, and moments at the heart of sports and pop culture: breaking a record they said would stand forever, blazing a trail for equality, reflecting on an incredible career, and more. With iconic, officially licensed photographs, our collection showcases the images that endure and the people that made them possible.
